Mario Kart In Toronto

May 17th, 2011

These are photos from the streets of Toronto. Mario Kart painted on the street and sidewalk.

Sometimes driving in Toronto you wish it was Mario Kart. I have seen a car or two I would like to throw a turtle shell at. But I have seen rotten discarded banana peels and I did see Mario and Luigi on Halloween night (see pic below) so we must be getting closer to Mario Kart happening.

Mario Kart is a series of go-kart-style racing video games developed by Nintendo as a series of spin-offs from its trademark Mario series of platformer adventure-style video games. The series debuted in 1992 on the Super NES with critical and commercial success.
To date, there have been four Mario Kart games for home consoles, two portable games, and two arcade games. The ninth game of the Mario Kart series will be Mario Kart 3DS.

Seventh-Inning Stretch

May 17th, 2011

This is from the Blue Jays 2011 home opening weekend.

The seventh-inning stretch is a tradition in baseball that takes place between the halves of the seventh inning of any game – in the middle of the seventh inning. Fans generally stand up and stretch out their arms and legs and sometimes walk around. It is a popular time to get a late-inning snack as well; many teams end alcohol sales at this point. The stretch also serves as a short break for the players. If a game goes into a fifth extra inning, a similar “fourteenth-inning stretch” is celebrated.
